2018-12-06T18:09:45+00:00 Hi Melinda, thanks for your question. I'm Graeme, a Microsoft Community expert and fellow user.
Firstly, I would see if the troubleshooter fixes the issue. Click Start and type "troubleshoot" then select the first result. Scroll down and choose Hardware and Devices. This may help.
Also, see if the drive is detected correctly in Safe Mode. Here are instructions:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/12376/...
You could try plugging the drive into another USB port to see if it's recognized. Try a port on your front panel and back panel.
Also see if the Backup settings are correct. You can access your Windows backup settings by following the instructions in this link:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/17143/...
Please let me know how you go and I'll see what else we can try! Thanks!

2018-12-06T18:09:45+00:00 Hi Melinda,
I’d unplug the drive, and put it into another USB slot. Reboot, and see if your backup software recognizes it again.
Let me know!

2018-12-05T14:49:06+00:00 Probably uninstall/reinstall the clickfree software - but first you might see if their support pages or online forums mention that problem.
You might also consider asking Cortana to remind you every Sunday at noon or some time appropriate to run your Clickfree backup.
