Copy and paste does not randomly. When it does not work and I do paste, it gives me this:

C:\Users\10941\AppData\Local\Temp\PRODUCT_NAME_UNKNOWN_CrashDumpPRODUCT_VERSION_MAJOR_UNKNOWN-PRODUCT_VERSION_MINOR_UNKNOWN-2018-11-03--12-07-10_.dmp

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

1.     Since when are you facing this issue?

2.     Have you made any changes on your pc, prior to this issue?

Copy & Paste issue might be caused due some services not working properly or due to system file corruption. I suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Perform SFC scan to repair missing or corrupted system files. Refer the following article for steps to perform SFC scan.

Method 2: You can also refer the following steps posted by Kasper RW on August 29, 2018 to fix Copy & paste issue that is caused by Nahimicsvc32.exe services.

Hope it helps.

    Hi Xu,

Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Expand the Sound, Video and Game Controllers section

Do you have Realtek Audio on your PC?

If so, right click that, choose Properties, then on the resulting dialog, click the driver tab and choose 'Roll back Driver'

If that option is greyed out, you need to locate an older version of that driver either on the support page for your device or the Realtek website and install that version

    Then, open Windows File Explorer

On the View Ribbon, temporarily turn on 'Hidden Items'

Navigate to this folder (replace username with your login name)

    C:\Users\yourname\ Appdata\Local\Temp

Are there a lot of .dmp files named with the same text you see on the clipboard?

Delete everything in Temp, there will be one or two files that you cannot delete because they are currently in use, don't worry about those . . .
