Microsoft "phonecall?"

I recently received a call about my windows id being targeted by the number 1 877-568-2495

the provided me with the last digits to my Microsoft id

is this sufficient information or need more. The "supervisor" has already hung up after i put the phone down, & seemed overly impatient

they also asked me to hold windows key+ r and type in"www.bit.do/121gg" which further increased my scepticism.

I am mainly worried it was legit do to the amount of information they provided me, anyway to tell if this is legit? because if it i have a serious computer problem

they also said they'd give me a me Microsoft id, is that even possible?

Hi Dev. G, well done for being suspicious, you would be amazed how many users fall for this!

This is a well known Tech Support SCAM - Microsoft will NEVER cold call you!

All they are trying to do is get control of your PC, they will cause your PC to become corrupt and then require you to pay to have it fixed and even though you might pay them, they will not fix it!

Do not give them Remote Access to your PC

Do not give them any personal details

Do not pay them

Hi, I hope you're doing good today.

That's a Tech Scam, just ignore them. Microsoft would never ask you to type that in your Windows Run Box.

Report them here.

I'll add my voice to that of the others saying the same thing. It is *not* legit. It's a common and well-known scam. Microsoft never makes such calls.

Just hang up and ignore such callers.
