My computer was working fine with internet access, while updating the network drivers I got disconnected from my home wifi but the update failed in the end. I know people talked about this and found that they had third party VPN running but  I don't have any VPN running. I tried using window's troubleshoot but it couldn't identify the problem, uninstall and restart, cmd lines, network reset, nothing worked. Here are the pics.

I pretty much tried everything suggested here except for re-install Windows or go back to the previous restore point.  I had a VPN installed when doing the upgrade, a bad mistake.  Also had Hyper-V installed, could be another cause. I've uninstalled both after the feature upgrade to 1809 but no joy.  Should have done it prior to upgrade.

    But this worked:

Reset the Entire Network in Windows 10 and Start from Scratch.

    Thank God I found this!

Hi, I used iobit driver booster 6 to update my drivers.

I tried installing the recommended Qualcomm driver downloaded from its site too and it poped up something like driver updated successfully, then I restarted pc and came back to check the drivers in Network adapters, nothing changed.

    Hi Brian,

    Thank you for replying.

I suggest you to uninstall the driver from Device manager and install the drivers from the Dell website. Please refer the steps mentioned below to uninstall and reinstall the driver:

    1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    2. Select Device manager.
    3. In Device manager, expand Network Adapters.
    4. Right click on Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Adapter and select uninstall.
    5. You will receive a prompt; make sure you check the box for Delete the driver software.
    6. After uninstalling the driver, download the drivers from Inspiron 5570 and install them.
    7. Restart the computer.

    Hope it helps.

Hi, it didn't work, still the same error. I installed driver from Device manager and opened the installShield wizard, chose remove, then I opened it again to reinstall everything. It said The update installer operation is successful. After that, I restarted pc and nothing changed.
