bios update?

I have Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 windows on a toshiba laptop. I tried to update my bios using the windows option and got error message IHISI GET platform rom map error in smi! smi return code DxEF. What does that mean and what do I do about it?

    Bios update should come from the manufacturer what, what is the laptop model number and I can steer you the right direction
