In the last few weeks, my laptop screen shows "Activate Windows Go to Settings to activate Windows". No matter what app I'm in or what I'm doing, this shows up. I have accessed Windows to see what I need to update but there appears to be nothing. I want this dialog box to go away. Anyone know?

    Hello,

Try Microsoft chat support (available on weekdays only) to get live help from Microsoft agent to resolve the activation issue:

Ni Nails. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

What is the Status listed at Settings > Update & Security > Activation? If it says not activated there, run the Troubleshooter and report back results.

This was an issue recently that supposedly got fixed, so it may correct itself soon.

How was Windows 10 originally activated on the PC: Free Upgrade, came from factory with Windows 10 preinstalled, retail or boxed copy?

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
