So... My friend's laptop (Acer Aspire E1-421) couldn't start. this is the error message:

I've already tried the Start-up repair and it failed to repair it... Couldn't use System Restore since there wasn't any restore point recorded... I've tried using the bootrec command solution but got access denied after bootrec /fixboot

Can anyone help me?

    Hi,

    Run Startup repair.

On a working computer, create an Installation media of Windows 10 that allows you to repair existing Windows Installation.

    Create a USB Flash Drive

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create...

Boot from the USB Flash drive-Make sure you have disabled Secure boot/Fast boot in BIOS Settings.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21756-boot-...

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/21284-enabl...

Then open Advanced Startup options after the computer boots from USB. Click Repair your computer at the first screen that says Install now.

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-boot-a...

Select Startup repair, let it finish the job and see if the computer can boot afterward.

If that doesn't help, consider doing a clean install after rescuing your files.

    Hello,

after running the chkdsk c: /f and /r command, it said that there was no problem. So I tried to reboot the laptop to see if it worked but now it shows a different error which is winload.exe is missing or contains error with error code 0xc0000225. After searching for a solution for that problem, it suggested me to use the bootrec commands but it still gave me access denied after bootrec /fixboot

Did I miss a step or somehow made the problem worse?
