Change the default encoding for saving MS-Notepad files

The default is always UTF-8

What should I do?

There is no setting to change the default fie type in Notepad, there is however a trick you can use so you can always create a new txt document in whatever encoding you wish:

I mean notepad.exe

Runs .... Not through the new menu

Run notepad.exe

And then the file menu> Save
