invalid security certificate

Since updating Windows 10 Nov 2018, I have had internet connection problems.  Now I have invalid security certificate and can't connect to the Internet via wifi or Ethernet connection.  I can't find a solution to the problem.  I've tried running troubleshooter but no luck.  I reset my cable modem and router but still it's not working.  This is only affecting my laptop.  My Kindle and desktop are connecting either via wifi or ethernet so I know my network is up and running.  Can someone help?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. What is the exact error message and when do you get the error?
    2. Does the network icon show any yellow exclamation mark on it?
    3. If you hover the mouse pointer over the network icon, does t show No Internet access, or Limited access, or Internet access?
    4. Which web browser do you use to access the Internet?

I suggest to check your computer’s date and time, and make sure that system clock shows the correct date and time.

If the system date and time are incorrect, turn off both Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically.

    1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
    2. Click on Time & Language.
    3. Under Date & Time, toggle the switch for Set time automatically & Set time zone automatically to off position and check if the issue is fixed.

If the issue is fixed, go back to Settings app and enable back the settings for time and time zone.

Please get back to us with the required information, so that we can suggest the appropriate

    troubleshooting steps.

We look forward for your reply.
