Microsoft Store opens when I insert a DVD
I see that others have had this problem previously, but it is brand new to me as of this week. Something must have updated and caused a problem. I have tried following all of the previously posted suggestions and have restarted my computer and nothing
- NOTHING - seems to work. My DVD player of preference is VLC. Having this dumb store screen pop up each time I insert a DVD is more than annoying. Can someone help?

2019-01-18T20:03:09+00:00 Hi Rward, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.
See if you can modify your autoplay settings. Here are the steps to do so:
- Click Start and type Autoplay.
- Select the result "autoplay settings"
- Change the autoplay function for DVDs to Do Nothing, or perhaps to open VLC.
This should stop the Microsoft Store from opening up. If it doesn't try resetting the Microsoft Store:
- Click Start and type "apps & features".
- Select Apps & Features.
- Find the Microsoft Store app in the list and select it.
- Click Advanced Options
- Click Reset.
Let me know if you need further support after trying these steps! Thanks!

2019-01-18T20:17:40+00:00 The first step didn't help (I had already tried it), but resetting Microsoft Store seems to have solved the issue.
Thanks for the help.
