OneDrive Support

I am in Day 3 of waiting for support.  An Excel document I use almost daily and which contains the year's data would not open on Tuesday and says may be corrupt of the extension wrong.  I've not changed anything, just updated it etc as usual and resaved it.  I do not have another copy anywhere I just use OneDrive.

OneDrive support told me to restore my computer which I did - after a few hours it said it could not complete possibly because of antivirus.  So I turned antivirus off and tried to restore again - after another few hours it did.  No change to my document accessibility - Tuesday Done.  I was told if that did not work it was an Office issue.

I spent most of yesterday with my pc being logged into and the technician trying various help sites to try and open my document - which is there but just won't open anywhere.  At the end of that it was a OneDrive problem.

I did the correct process of sending an email to OneDrive support at 11am yesterday.  The contacted me about 7pm once I had left work for the day.  However I did send the replies to their questions.  I have heard NOTHING since.

So day 3, still cannot access my file.  I use OneDrive as I thought it was a safe place to store my documents.  Surely there must be a way of OneDrive accessing even an older version of my document that I can start to work from and rebuild????

Feeling really frustrated I tried to make a complaint - don't even bother there is no way to do it that I can find.

Any help on how to try and get my Excel file opened without destroying everything would be appreciated. I am not an IT whizz that is why I use Microsoft and OneDrive in the hope they would always be on hand to support.  I think I need to rethink my options

I would suggest you do following to get help from Onedrive team

    Go to https://onedrive.live.com

Click ? icon at top right > E Mail Onedrive support

Put a request to route the ticket to Data Loss team

Then ticket will handled by the team which deals with these kind of issues.
