I attempt to turn on automatically download updates option, and the on button switches to off without me clicking anything.

I have windows 10 1803

How do I fix this, so I can be ready for the future upgrades for the windows 10 versions that come up.

alright  I tried that link, and  it didn't work. I got stuck with a blue screen and the comp wasn't  responding right not even the narrator rebooted comp.

Downloads with the update assistant tool doesn't work on my computer, and I don't want to try that again. from how screwy things got.

I think I have to download the upgrade from the web. Not sure which site to trust for the download link.

I only get updates for 1803 when I click the 'check for updates' button.

Use Media Creation Tool and create ISO. This way, even if you have problems while installing Windows 10 from the tool, you can use that ISO without have to downloading again the whole 4.7GB ISO Image.

Hi Vanitas, thanks for your question. I'm Graeme, a Microsoft Community expert and fellow user.

Firstly, the latest version of Windows 10 is 1809, so if you can, try updating using the steps outlined in this Microsoft Support article:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/402868...

If that doesn't work, you could try the Windows Update Troubleshooter. Here's an article that'll show you how to use it:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/402732...

If your Windows Update still doesn't work, you could try resetting the Windows Update components manually. Here's a link to the instructions:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/971058...

Please let me know how you go with these steps and if you need further support I'll see what else we can try! Thanks!
