Audio Driver Error Code 10

I have just factory reset my HP pavilion laptop and am having issues with my audio as nothing seems to play. I checked my drivers and my Intel Smart Sound Driver has a code 10 error and says "configuration mismatch (production/engineering). I have tried multiple methods including uninstalling the driver and restarting and trying to update the driver but and none have worked.

    There is an updated driver released in November for this model. I suggest you install it:

    I would also recommend you upgrade to Windows 10 1809 if this does not work, then install the driver again.

    Open Start, type: system information

    Hit Enter

    Click System summary

    Look in the right pane

    The product name is HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx.

    The product number is 4AY77EA#ABU and the serial number is CND84145VR in case that helps.

    The OS name is Microsoft windows 10 Home and the version is 10.0.17134 Build 17134 .
