Windows Cannot Access \\PC
I have seven Windows 10 pro computers on a home network. All computers have been accessible on the network via explorer since Windows 10 came out until March 2019. One computer now cannot be accessed and gives the error message 0x080070035 Windows cannot access this PC when network explorer is used on another computer on the network to access it. The computer is shown in the Network folder but I get the error when I try to open it. I have reviewed and tried all recommendations I could find without success. Any new suggestions would be appreciated.

2019-04-01T22:15:43+00:00 Thanks for your rapid response Andre, I have worked through all of the recommendations that you have made and still get the same error message. Interesting that I use this PC as my Plex server and I can still access all my shared content on the subject computer via Plex from the networked computers. The shared folders all show up when clicking on the computer icon in the network group on the subject computer but not from any other computer. However when I try to access the shared folders using the IP address on the subject computer, I get the same message.
Also seems strange that it is just on this one computer as the other 6 computers on the network are all up to date with the latest MS updates.
Not sure where to go from here.

Open Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Status
Scroll to the bottom
Click Network and Sharing Center
Click Change advanced sharing settings
Expand All Networks
Under Password protected sharing
Switch between 'Turn on password protected sharing and Turn off password protected sharing'
Then choose 'Turn off password protected sharing'
Then click 'Save changes'
Also:
Press Windows key + R
Type: optionalfeatures.exe
Hit Enter
Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support
Tick the SMB 1.0/CIFS Client
Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Automatic Removal and
Untick SMB 1.0/CIFS Server
Click OK
Restart if prompted.
Additional troubleshooting steps you can attempt:
- shut all computer and network gear down.
- Turn off IPv6
- Try browsing to some of the computers manually, press Windows key + R, type: \computername, hit Enter
- Press Windows key + R
Type: services.msc
Hit Enter
- Start the "Function Discovery Provider Host" and "Function Discovery Resource Publication" services, and then set them toAutomatic (Delayed Start).
- When you open Explorer Network, enable network discovery when you are prompted.
Press Windows key + X > computer management-->shared folders--> choose the shared folder, right click it then click Properties > Share Permissions -->protection that everyone can read and execute, see folder contents and read permissions.
Add the machine to your Windows HOSTS file.
