    Hi @Edison Umaña Tamayo
Thank You for posting in Q & A.

A good SQL Server disaster recovery plan must take into account numerous factors: sensitivity of data, data loss tolerance, required availability, etc. The plan can be based on few a solutions:

    1. Failover clustering
    2. Database mirroring
    3. Database Replication
    4. Log shipping
    5. Backup and restore
    6. Always On Availability Group
Introduced in SQL Server 2012, Always On Availability Groups (availability groups) provide database-level protection by sending each transaction of a database to another instance, known as a replica, that contains a copy of that database in a special state. An availability group can be deployed on Standard or Enterprise Editions. The instances participating in an availability group can be either standalone or Always On Failover Cluster

    Hi @Edison Umaña Tamayo ,

Always On Availability Groups is an enterprise-level high-availability and disaster recovery solution introduced in SQL Server 2012 to enable you to maximize availability for one or more user databases. Always On Availability Groups requires that the SQL Server instances reside on Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) nodes. Please refer to SQL Server 2016 Step by Step: Creating AlwaysOn Availability Group to get more information.

Microsoft provide some business continuity solutions for high availability and disaster recovery in SQL Server. Please refer to Business continuity and database recovery - SQL Server to get more information, see below:

    Hey,

Always On Availability Groups would be a great choice to build HA SQL server. The following guide might help:
    https://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/steps-for-installing-alwayson-availability-groups-sql-2019

Another alternative is to build SQL FCI, which requires shared storage and provides an instance level HA. Check the following guide for the configuration process:
    https://www.starwindsoftware.com/resource-library/starwind-virtual-san-installing-and-configuring-sql-server-2017-failover-cluster-instance-on-windows-server-2016/

    Cheers,
