Office 365 subscriptions

Hi there,

I have a situation! I work for an educational institution (a high school called Falcon College). Two years ago, some staff here had the school purchase 2 Office 365 licenses to cover up to 12 of the staff. In the past few months, one of those staff members has left the school for other employment. He was one of the license holders, who's Microsoft account was sharing Office to others from. He informed me today that he has (or is) being moved to his new employers Office 365 for educators accounts and no longer needs the license we have. As his account is used to share to others here, how do I untangle his account and assume control of the license in such a way that it does not affect other users sharing from this license. The license expires tomorrow, and I already have a renewal key purchased!
