BSOD error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Hello the community,

Since months my laptop crashes occasionally (something like once a month, usually after the monthly windows update) after it is been put in sleep mode. Reports suggest always the same error: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. It suggests a bad drivers, but according to my manufacturer's site, the laptop has all the recommended drivers. My computer get also regularly the latest windows updates.

Here is the latest mini dump file: 031519-97390-01.dmp

As I understand from other discussions, a second mini dump is often needed for the comparison,

so here is a more old one with the same symptoms: 021819-53218-01.dmp

What can cause this problem and how to resolve it?

    The issue could be another driver that is "internet enabled".

    If you have the Driver Verifier enabled and get a BSOD post back with the minidump file from that crash.

    The issue appears to be network related specifically with the Netwbw02.sys which is the Intel wireless driver:

    I already tried in the past to use the latest Intel wireless driver. I didn't know if the BSOD occurs with it, but it caused other major stability problems.

    I just reinstall an older version of the Intel wireless driver to see if this one is more stable.

    C. Recommendations

    1. Create a system restore point so that if something wrong happens you can revert.

    Type restore point in Cortana Search > Create a Restore point > Check whether against your drive, Protection is ON or not. If not ON, click Configure button below to Make it ON > Now press Create to create a restore point

    1. Some third party drivers are causing BSODs. To know if a driver is one of the causes - Enable Driver Verifier and generate dump files and upload to Onedrive and share the link here (Don't forget to turn off Driver Verifier after the job is done). Do read the instructions carefully particularly how to get back into Windows when you get the crash.

    First thanks for the quick response.

    I followed your instructions, I'm now waiting for a crash to appear. If I'm not mistaken, the dump files generated by drivers verifiers will be located in the same place as usually (.../Windows/minidump)?

    Irony of fate, I just had a crash before seeing this answer, with the same error.
