Task View Crashing

So I've been trying to make use of task view on my laptop but for some reason it keeps crashing. No matter if I use three fingers to swipe up on my trackpad, or try to access it via my task bar, the task view would open and then, in less than 2 seconds, it automatically closes before I can do anything with it. Can someone help me figure out how to solve this issue?

Okay, I managed to run the scan on the Command Prompt but is says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" and I'm not sure how to go about it from there.

Ah... so go to start - settings - accounts - your info.

do you see your account as an administrator?

if so make sure you right click the command prompt when you search for it and select run as administrator.

    Hi Sarah,

I tried to do the sfc scan but it told me, "You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility." Not really sure what this means....

    Hi Northmelon

My name is Sarah Kong and I am an independent adviser that is here to try and help you with your issue.

This maybe an issue with a system file being corrupt.

You can try a couple things.

Right click your start button and select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.

In Command prompt type sfc /scannow and press enter.

    Restart the computer.

If that doesn't work then try this,

Right click your start button and select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.

In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands.

Press Enter key after each command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Important: When you run this command, DISM uses Windows Update to provide the files that are required to fix corruptions.

To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and then press Enter.

    Restart your computer.
