Graphics on games not working.

I was about to play Overwatch but I found that the graphics were terrible. I could honestly see the individual pixels, plus my frame rate just dropped. I first thought it was just overwatch but then found that all 3d games were like this. I tried finding a solution, thinking it was my BIOS settings but when I tried to get in it wouldn't show on my screen. I pressed F2 and delete, but neither helped. I do think this is probably the solution but I can't get it to show. Can anybody help?

Hi Sebastian, I'm Graeme, an independent adviser here to help.

I'd firstly recommend updating your graphics drivers, as this can often fix issues like this.

    AMD Radeon:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support

    NVIDIA GeForce:

    https://www.geforce.com/drivers

    Intel Graphics:

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/...

Also check that your monitor is on the correct resolution by searching Start for Display Settings. Here you can change the resolution to the recommended if it's not already set correctly.

If none of the above helps, could you post a photo of the issue while in a game? That might help me find the cause of the problem. Thanks!

    Hi there,

Have you checked to see if your graphics drivers are up to date?

What make and model is your machine and or graphics card?

I would also suggest checking that all drivers for your machine are up to date and hopefully this should resolve this issue.

Let me know how you get on

"I could honestly see the individual pixels"

    • Something like this ?

    • Assuming the graphics drivers are not corrupted, first try repairing the game.

This can usually be done via the games client software

eg - with Steam games R\click on the games title in your Steam Library and select Properties.

Then click on the Local Files tab and run the Verify Integrity of Game Files tool.

    • Failing the above your graphics processor, VRAM , or possibly (not real likely though) system RAM may be faulty.
