Automatic Update Configurations Not Working

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with a few of my windows servers. I have configured my windows server to automatically download updates, but install them on a scheduled date. However, when a new update is ready to be installed, I monitored the server at the time of its scheduled installation time, but the automatic update did not start at all. In my group policy editor, Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update, I have "Configure Automatic Updates" enabled with the option of 4 (Auto download and schedule the install). As far as I know, I don't think there are any other settings I need to touch here.

Checking inside the event viewer, I filtered the logs to view if the automatic update service started at all, but it was not found anywhere.

Any help would be very appreciated on this.

    Hi Derex

Sorry for the inconvenience of having to suggest the re-route, but Technet has a lot of experts there that know the ins and outs of enterprise issues; especially domain configurations for clients. So, they will be better able to diagnose and determine whats causing the problem.

    Thanks for your corporation.
