Hi,

Recently I tried remote desktop feature using my Windows 10 computer and RD Client app on iPad Pro.

I used RD Client app from iPad to connect to my computer, and it was successful.

But after using the remote desktop, the program window of my game which I opened in iPad duirng remote desktop became cropped and won't go back to its original window size. The original window size of the game was 1280x720 and now it's literally cropped around 1/3 at the center.

I tried uninstalling, deleting the residue files and reinstalling the program, but the window still appears cropped.

I also disabled remote desktop, tried adjusting some display scaling settings and program compatibility settings, but nothing happens.

I'd like to ask for help to make this window go back to its original state.

Hi Suzuneko80

My name is Andre Da Costa; an Independent Consultant, Windows Insider MVP and Windows & Devices for IT MVP. I'm here to help you with your problem.

Press Windows key + R

Type: rstrui.exe

Hit Enter

This will start the system restore wizard. Choose a restore point more before the problem started.

or

First, try restarting your graphics driver:

Press Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B

If that does not work...

Press Windows key + X

Click Device Manager

Expand Display adapters

Right click the current display adapter

Click Properties

Click Driver tab

Click Rollback driver if the option is available

If not

Right click the current display adapter

Click Uninstall

Check the box that says, "Delete the driver software for this device.”

Exit Device Manager

Restart

Go to Start -> Settings -> Update & security, then Check for updates and install any available updates.

You might need to update the display driver from the manufacturer of your computers website.

If you have an nVidia, AMD ATI video card or Intel HD graphics installed, you can download the latest drivers from their website.

First, determine what type of graphics you have installed.

Press Windows key + X

Click Device Manager

Expand Display adapters

Once you have determined the graphics driver, go the vendors website and search for the driver in the download section:

Intel - Downloads for Graphics Drivers - Drivers & Software - Intel

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/...

nVidia - http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

AMD ATI - Download Drivers - AMD Support

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Some of these sites offer autodetect options.

    Hi Andre!

Fortunately I had one program installed right before this problem happened so I could use it as a restore point.

But I hope this weird cropping problem would be resolved in the future as I am afraid this might happen to any other programs as well.

For now your solution was a good temporary fix.

    Thank you Andre!
