File Explorer Quick Access Menu not working

Hi,

I accidentally destroyed my quick access menu inside the file explorer:

Quick Access does not contain anything

Some registry folder I found on the internet which might something to do with it

What happens if I try to add a folder

The problem first appeared when I tried out Winaero Tweaker from https://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.1836

Tweaking some settings back didn't work.

sfc /scannow didn't help either.

Appreciate any help.

It is repairing broken system files located in the C:\Windows and System32 folders. Files that WinAero Tweaker utility might have modified.

If you wanted a less invasive option, you could also try performing a system restore.

    Press Windows key + R

    Type: rstrui.exe

    Hit Enter

This will start the system restore wizard. Choose a restore point before the problem started.

    Hi oSumAtrIX

Instead of dragging and dropping a folder onto Quick Access, if you right click any folder and choose 'Pin to Quick Access' - is that successful?

    If not:

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Please post a screenshot of the resulting Registry Editor Window

Right click and pin to quick access is unsuccessful too.
