Question mark on HDD

my hdd has a blue question mark symbol on it. i cant access the drive and it is not shown on the disk management

    1. When you say ‘my hdd has a blue question mark symbol on it’, where exactly do you see it?
    2. Is the connected hardrive an internal one or an external hardrive?

    Hi Alexander

    Does that drive definitely not show in Disk Management?

    This error is generally caused by the drive not having a drive letter assigned by Windows . ..

    Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

    From the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

    Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

    Do you see that drive listed there?
