When we install a new program on our golden image, the items on the users whose FSLogix profile already exists are not being updated with the new entries. The only way we have been able to make this work was to blow away their profile. Is there a way for us to update the users profile with the items that are part of the default user profile in the golden image?

We are using:

  • Windows 10 1909 - User Machine
  • fslogix 2.9.7349.30108
  • Windows Server 2019 /w Refs - Profile Machine
Windows for business | Windows Client for IT Pros | User experience | FSLogix

    It is multiple items.:

    • When we started we had removed all of the microsoft store apps. after user backlash for the missing notes app. we readded it. This shortcut for the notes app would not show back up until after we deleted their profile.
    • We use FSLogix Restrictions to remove apps where people are not licensed for them. If a user has an app that was removed for them and later needs the the app and is licensed for it they do not get the shortcuts added back to their start menu. Stuff like Visio, Project and Foxit

So we just installed a new app for all users and they are not seeing it.
I had to manually create a a shortcut on the desktop for the one user that needed it.

Is the product group working on solving this problem, as it seems to be a default problem for fslogix?
Any new installed Appx is not showing up in users start menu without resetting the profile.
