2 documents showing wrong title in search result page

Question

Hi Guys,

In a collab site in SharePoint 2013, I have a couple of word documents showing the wrong title in the search result, it is picking the heading of a table inside it which is weird.

I have done a reindex of the library and ran an incremental but it did not fix the issue.
There is no metadata that contains the wrong name which is showing in the search result.
Any idea what could be the issue?

Does the wrong title is actually a title inside the word document? If this is the situation you are in?

Have checked the managed property mapping? If not, please first have a check on the managed property mapping in Search schema. Go to Central Admin —> Manager Service Application —> Search Service Application> Search Schema. Search the managed property for "title" and check the mappings, If there is a crawled property called “MetadataExtractorTitle” , move it down to last place and do a re-index for testing.
