Hi Team,

Good day.

In my PC there are some duplicate System Folders created automatically

I have tried to make changes in registry "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders" but no use. Kindly advise.

Regards,

Raj

Hi , I'm David, thanks for participating in the Microsoft Community. I'll do my best to help today.

-first check if both folders have the same path.

-Then try to extract the files in an external storage drive and delete the duplicate folders on the PC, then save the documents in the folder again and check that it has not been duplicated.

    Best Regards,

    David.

Open an Admin PowerShell window, then copy & paste the following:

    $key = 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FolderDescriptions'

    gci $key |

    ?{(gp "$($_.PSPath)\PropertyBag" -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue).ThisPCPOlicy} |

    ?{(gp $_.PSPath).Name -match '^Downloads|my |Personal'} |

    %{($_.OpenSubKey('PropertyBag', $True)).SetValue('ThisPCPolicy', 'Hide')}

    Hi Raj

I need to see another page in your Registry Editor . . .

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
