Windows Activation on another device
I originally had a windows 7 Liscense, when windows 10 launched openly, it was free for a limited time, I upgraded during that time and got windows 10 x64 pro version, my windows 10 is currently activated.
I am about to buy a new pc, will I be able to transfer my windows?

Is your Windows 10 licence based on an OEM Windows 7 licence (came pre-installed on a PC) or Retail (purchased separately to a PC)
If it is a Retail licence, then it will have transfer rights to a new Motherboard or PC, if it is OEM it will not . ..

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I am here to work with you on this problem.
Only Retail license can be transferred not OEM license as OEM license is tied to your hardware.
How to know your license type
Windows Key+X > Click on either Powershell (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin)
Copy below and paste and Enter
slmgr -dli
It takes 5 to 10 seconds for the result to appear
