All updates taking forever.

I just got my brand-new gaming PC the other day, and it's great! It's the very first Windows 10 computer that I have ever had. I started downloading things I wanted on my computer, 1 at a time, but I noticed that it was downloading very, very slowly. I am most positive that it is NOT my PC, and there was nothing else downloading in the house at the time.

I also own another computer, an Apple Mac Mini, and it downloaded a software 80 MB big in less than a minute! But my Windows 10 PC downloads

softwares around 80 MB in a couple of hours or more! Please help. Downloading is very slow.

As it is a new PC then Windows itself may be out of date so may be downloading all the updates it requires in the background which will be slowing down any program &/or app downloads.

    A. Run Internet Connections / Network Troubleshooters

    Windows Key+i > Update & Security > Troubleshoot >

    1. Click Internet Connections > Run the Troubleshooter
    2. Click Network Adapter > Run the Troubleshooter

    B. Head to following Microsoft Help Link and execute the steps there

    Hi BenjiBot151

    1

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to Network and Internet, then click WiFi

Click your current WiFi connection and make sure that is not set as a Metered Connection

    Close the Settings App

    2

Click your Start Button, type cmd and choose Command Prompt

Run this command and hit Enter:

    ipconfig /flushdns

    Close Command Prompt

    Open the Settings App

    Go to Network and Internet

    Click the Network Reset button

Wait for your PC to automatically restart after 5 minutes
