Hello, i have a couple of Question regards the Image Creation with MDT described in this Article:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/deploy-windows-mdt/create-a-windows-10-reference-image

  1. Can i create the Image in a test/non-productive Enviroment with Evaluation Version of Server 2016 and licensed Windows 10 ISO Image from VLSC for productive use?
  2. Will there be Problems when i use only the same Domainname as on Productive Server not actually the same Domain because test/non-productive Enviroment? Thanks for reading

Best Regards

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

May we know if you have two seperate MDT environment, non-productive Enviroment and productive Enviroment?

==>1.Can i create the Image in a test/non-productive Enviroment with Evaluation Version of Server 2016 and licensed Windows 10 ISO Image from VLSC for productive use?
Based on my experience, yes, you can.

==>2.Will there be Problems when i use only the same Domainname as on Productive Server not actually the same Domain because test/non-productive Enviroment?
Based on my experience, we should capture our reference image on a workgroup computer. And then we use a Domain Join Step into the Task Sequence to join your domain when deploying the operating system.

    Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon
