Microsoft remote display adapter

I use a HP laptop with a docking station, and am on Windows 10 Enterprise.

I have two display ports and have two monitors on my desk.

I recently added a large screen TV on the wall in my office, and when I connect the TV via HDMI cable to my laptop (not the docking station), the TV does not get a signal.

When I remove the laptop from the docking station, I do get the signal, but I lose the displays on my 2 monitors.

I want it all.

Can I purchase Microsoft's remote Display adapter, and plug in the USB/HDMI on the TV, and add the display on Windows 10, and now able to have a screen #3?

Or should I be looking at any other adapters?
