Hello Team,

Just 5 hours back the Self-Hosted Integration runtime was working.When i am trying to access now it is showing me error .

error :
The Self-hosted Integration Runtime 'dev-ir' is offline, last connect time is '03/20/2021 03:34:28.639',

When i went to manage option in azure data factory i came to know that it is asking for the upgrade .If i click on upgrade is this going to impact anything:

Please advise.

Self Hosted IR is not working in your ADF. So you can try upgrading it to the latest version.

In fact, product team has done some fixes in the latest Self hosted IR and latest IR should work smooth.

ADF team provide upgraded version of IR that includes bug fixes, enhancements etc.

Upgrading the IR will simply upgrade IR only. It won't impact other existing objects in ADF such as pipeline, datasets etc.

I clicked on upgrade now.But not able to see any impact on the IR

Without even upgrade also the IR must run properly. But why it is showing me unavailable.

You have to go into the server the SHIR agent is installed on and restart it, takes 5 seconds. Also I always update it there, I have no idea what setting that auto update to on is supposed to do, but it does not auto update the self hosted IR agent. Anyways, my SHIR has been broken for weeks, they just push new broken versions, but yesterdays release number actually went like 4 releases backwards, so I think they know they have a problem now. Version 5.2.7697.1 is the latest stable version I know that works for me, all newer versions I get the same thing you are getting every couple hours.
