How can we have people outside our organization "call" into our Teams accounts?

Historically, we put a skype ID in our email signatures and on our business cards so people would know how to contact us for video calls, etc. Last year we migrated to Office 365 for our company, and we are all using Teams for all internal calling, chatting, etc. And instead of using Skype, or WeChat, or WhatsApp, or ????, we would like people from outside our organization to contact us on Teams. Is there a way for people outside our organization to "call" into one of our employees on Teams? thanks!!! Matt

Set up external access if you need to find, call, chat, and set up meetings with people outside your organization who use Teams, Skype for Business (online or on premises) or Skype.

By default, external access is enabled for all domains. You can restrict external access by allowing or blocking specific domains or by turning it off.

NOTE: Microsoft Teams free licenses do not support external access.

    Hi @Matthew Arnold ,

Do you mean that you want to communicate with external Skype for Business or Teams users or only Skype users?

If you want to communicate with external organization users in Microsoft Teams, as Danny said above, you should enable “Users can communicate with other Skype for Business and Teams Users” in Teams admin center to allow other Teams or Skype for Business organizations to communicate with users in your organization.

If you want Teams users in your organization to chat with and call Skype users, you can turn on the “Users can communicate with Skype Users” in Teams admin center.

As a supplement, users in Teams Only mode will receive all calls and chats in Teams, regardless of whether the sender is using Skype for Business or Teams. For more details about it, you can refer to:
