Hi Renoy. I'm Greg, an installation specialist, 10 year Windows MVP, and Volunteer Guardian Moderator here to help you.

If you didn't generate the code by doing something that needs 2nd factor authentication then just ignore it. Someone must have put in the wrong digits.

But while you're at it you should check if you have backup phone and email addresses in case you ever get locked out of your MS Account here:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12428/.... It can save a lot of grief later.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I solved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.

Never post your phone number in a public forum, which this is, as it may be harvested by online scammers who will contact you by phone to try and con you out of money.
