"The VSS service is shutting down due to idle timeout" - event 8224 on Windows 10.

I'm making a separate post here because I'm not sure if this is the cause of my crash.

My computer recently started to freeze, then restart very frequently.

To try and solve this problem, I disabled the setting where my computer would restart on crash. Now, however, it just freezes.

Whenever I have to power off my PC after a freeze occurs, it's not the normal *hold for 3 seconds.* Instead, it powers off immediately. Not sure if this means anything.

I looked through the reliability logs, as well as the event logs and I ultimately came across this post:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files/the-vss-service-is-shutting-down-due-to-idle/40ae9d42-1892-4ae8-99cf-b306f043f280?page=1

I followed the steps recommended in solving it. Fortunately after doing the recommended scans, Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

However, a couple seconds after receiving that message and clicking around on my desktop, it froze: telling me that my issue isn't fixed just yet.

What should I do now? All my drivers are up to date, my SSD has plenty of space (50% full) if that even matters, and I am not sure what to do anymore.

EDIT: It's also important to note Event Viewer makes no mention of a crash/problem, but Reliability logs an unforeseen Windows restart (me pressing the power button, I'm guessing).

    Hi jwang117

Greetings! I am Vijay, an Independent Advisor. I would like to review your event logs. Post entries corresponding to this event and few minutes preceding this event in Event Logs.

Windows Key+R > Type eventvwr and Enter > See if any event corresponding to your date and time is there (Look under all entries under Windows Logs such as System, Application, Security...) > If yes, right click on a starting event, press shift key and select an end event > Right click and Save Selected Event > Save as Type should be Event Files (*.evtx)

Zip all event files which correspond to your event, upload them to Onedrive and share the link here.

    HOW TO UPLOAD TO ONEDRIVE

    1. Login to https://onedrive.live.com/ utilizing the same Login ID and Password which you have used on this forum. (or use the installed Onedrive on your computer)
    2. Click Upload in the top OR drag and drop the file here.
    3. After uploading, right click the file and choose share.
    4. Click Copy Link.
    5. Copy the link and paste the link here.
