Can't install windows updates error code 0xc1900223

Hello,

I am currently trying to update Windows to the latest update however I am getting stuck at Feature Update 1903. This has been going on for a while now but I thought it would be fixed in time with perhaps future patches. However I am now annoyed and fed up of waiting for this to be fixed automatically and I am now worried that I may have to re-install windows if this doesn't work. Underneath you can see what Windows has to say from the update window:

"There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903 -Error 0xc1900223"

So let's go over what I have tried:

Windows troubleshooter, Windows update troubleshooter and Windows Update Assistant.

All of these have failed and returned the same result. I have also tried going to the Microsoft Update Catalog website and it says: "This update is not applicable to your computer" When my system is 64bit and the installer is the 64 bit version 1903. I have also tried to use the SetupDiag tool which has returned this log file:

I have tried using the above commands to try to fix this issue. After entering all the commands and pressing enter after each one it looked promising as everything was going through like normal, however after restarting and waiting for my computer to say that it was "preparing windows" I looked into my updates menu to find that it said my windows was up to date. I didn't see anything download so just to make sure I clicked check for updates again. Once again my computer picked up that it needed the update and now I am back to square one.

This is highly frustrating and worrying as all I want to do is I download an update and yet for some reason I am having so many problems.

Please could someone get back to me as this issue is still yet to be resolved.

    Hi, TheLenzSeesAll

My name is Evelyn and I am an Independent Advisor. I would be happy to help you today.

If you have problems updating Windows, follow these steps:

First, if you have a third-party antivirus, you must disable or uninstall it.

Right click on the start button and select Command Prompt (admin) or Powershell (admin)

Write the next hit enter after each line.

    .- net stop wuauserv

    .- net stop cryptSvc

    .- net stop bits

    .- net stop msiserver

    .- Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    .- Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

    .- net start wuauserv

    .- net start cryptSvc

    .- net start bits

    . -net start msiserver

    Restart and try again.

You can also update manually, by downloading the Windows ISO from its Official Microsoft page:

Thank you for your message however I have followed the link and downloaded the tool. Unfortunately this has not worked and is what I meant when I tried to use Windows Update assistant. This failed, giving me the error code described above. I was thinking last night about this and remembering in the log file from SetupDiag gave me that it looked like it had managed to download the update but the wim (windows image file) was not able to install. My thinking is that it may be corrupted and so it cannot install either that or there is something that I am unaware of and it needs to be fixed in another way.
