File Association Broken for all JPG & PNG

I do know how to use open with and create proper file associations.

And I am not having issues opening files in PHOTO or other graphic programs.

The problem is Windows 10 has decided that all my photos are now SONY RAW files.

I cannot upload them to Google photo. It uploads & they don't show up- other files do work. Obviously it does no recognize RAW files of any type.

If I try to post image to Twitter- the drop down says -supported files- and no jpg show in the file explorer until I select ALL FILES

I am manager of thousands of images for work. Most of them taken with Canon 40 D which does show in properties correctly.

I have never owned a SONY anything, never installed a SONY app.

Why  have all my files been hi-jacked?

Things I tried with no success-

change file name to jpeg

save as PNG

It would be impossible for me to name all the files in my computer and attached 5 hard drives- all photos..

have you tried what he says in the video? surely you have to do it anyway if you see it written when you download a file.

In Firefox (not Edge) when I try to upload image it was still only showing me suggested file types without any jpgs, until I clicked ALL FILES.

In case anyone else has this issue I found solution here that worked

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\ JPEG was set to .jfif. I changed it to .jpeg.

    Hi Jolie

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.jpg

Please provide a screenshot of the resulting registry editor window . . .
