Error code 10023

I have 2 emails with atachments from known sources which will not open in webmail(BT is my provider and they have come via bt webmail).

The email will not open and the screen shows

"An error occurred when loading message body{Err.code:10023}"

I have tried using Edge,Firefox and Chrome to access my webmail and all work ok except some emails with attachments.

I can find nothing of help via a search engine--only spurious ads wanting to sell me software ,but written in poor english so therefore suspect!

Any help would be geatly appreciated.

Thanks.

    Thanks for this.

With a bit of trial and error I found out that the BT Virus Protect Firewall was the culprit. I turned it off and got normal full email access. I reported it to BT tech support and after letting them have screen access they agreed and will refer it up their management chain. So no result and poor customer service in my view.

I will delete it(it is a McAfee variant) and put Zone Alarm free on as security.

    Hi MichaelMetcalfe1706

this is a BT mail error code, there seems to have been a lot of similar reports over the last few days, apparently BT are investigating.

in the meantime you could try setting up the Mail app and see if you can then get to the attachments.
