Windows10 Pro, Built 20H2 Intel i7,16GBMemory
Edge is current
Edge settings - clear cache on exit

This happens on one and only one system... the one I use most

When I open favorites to select a web site ( I have many sub folders and lots of saves URLs), Edge turns white and will take minutes to open the favorites folder; then I have to wait again if I have to scroll down the list.

Example. I had to look at Verizon wireless data plan usage in an open Edge session. I selected other favorites and the folder the Verizon web site was in. I took 2 minutes for the window to open that contained the web sites. Edge was "white" and the little circle was swirling. Once the window open with the web sites, I had to scroll down to the Verizon site and Edge went white again with the little circle swirling. 3 minutes later the web site window came back and I could scroll down to the Verizon web site. ( I used a stop watch to time the events)

Once the Verizon site opened, performance was immediate on site page navigation.

Another example. I like to have 2 edge windows open. If I go to settings and more and select New Windows, it takes 1 1/2 minutes to open it with the same issue as above if I use favorites.

On any the windows10 Pro system in my house, none of these problems exist. New window is immediate and so is favorites. This is the system I use all day. Why the poor performance?

Found the issue. RealPlayer was corrupted. I Un-installed and re-installed and Edge works just fine now

    Microsoft Edge
    Version 89.0.774.57 (Official build) (64-bit)

    I run Malwarebytes weekly.... clean
However, I am the CTO of my family unit and have my grandsons run weekly registry, malware & file cleanups at their homes. I did not here.

I released 3 GB of temp files and cleaned the registry. Rebooted and the Favorites opened smoothly ( I'll continues to check it).

New window still takes ~ 1 minute to open. Any thoughts?

I tried the App repair but Microsoft Edge has no repair function available.
