Hi MargaretCurtacci and thanks for reaching out. My name is Joseph. I'm an independent advisor. I'll be happy to help you out today.
I would suggest you refer to the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.
Option 1. Run DISM & SFC.
- Press the Windows key, type in CMD right-click and click on "Run as an administrator".
- Copy-paste: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
- Press Enter. Wait until completes.
- Copy-paste: sfc /scannow
- Press enter. Wait until completes.
- Restart your computer, and when it boots up, check to see whether or not the problem has been resolved.
Option 2. Repair Windows 10 Using In-Place Upgrade.
You will have 3 options:
- Keep my files and applications
- Keep my files
- Not save anything
Select the option that suits your needs and click Reset.
Note: Before attempting to perform a repair using an in-place upgrade on your computer, you should ensure your files are backed up on an external storage device.
