Windows Server 2016 RAS as an IPv6 LAN Router

Hi Folks,

I have a Windows 2016 server setup as a LAN router and I'm experimenting with IPv6.

I've enabled router advertisements one of my network segments and I can see the adverts in Wireshark.

My question is - how do I change the M and A flags in the router advertisement?

I want to set the M flag to 1 to facilitate IPv6 DHCP. I've had a look at all the NETSH IPv6 options and I can't find anything there. I can't see any options in the RAS UI.

Any ideas?

Trevor

    Hi ,

I want to set the M flag to 1 to facilitate IPv6 DHCP.

Try to run the command of netsh interface ipv6 set interface "Local Area Connection" managedaddress=enabled.
