How to share a project between VS'19 for Windows and VS19 for Mac?

Hello: I'd like to work on Xamarin.forms in both a Windows and Mac environment. I've created a project with both Android and iOS nodes and saved it on a windows drive. When I try to open that same file in VS-Mac, it's gives me an error ... can't load the project. But ... if I copy the project folder, and paste it on my Mac desktop, VS-Mac will open that pasted project just fine. (I'm logged in as the only admin for this machine). Any ideas how to avoid the need to copy/paste like that? Thanks!!

Edit: It's VS19 community edition. And windows and Mac OS are loaded onto two different drives on the same (Dual boot) machine. MacOS can read the windows drive, but not vice-versa. If I copy the project folder to the MacOS drive, VS-Mac can open the .sln file with no problems. But If I browse to the Windows drive, VS-Mac can't load the project directly from the Windows Drive. Thanks.

    Hi @LifeLongLearning ,

The tag(vs-setup) focuses on the installation questions of Visual Studio IDE. For your issue, it is more related to VS for MAC. I suggest you start a new thread in the Visual Studio for MAC of Developer Community where you will get a better support. Thanks for your understanding.

    Sincerely,
    Anna
