Email print colour

Hi,

I have just installed an old Epson Stylus DX4400 printer/ scanner and have the following problem.

When photocopying it will copy in black but when printing emails it prints the header / sender / topic of the email in black but the content in pink even though the email is all black on the screen. The operating system is Windows 10.

As the printer is is printing ok in both colours I'm guessing its more to do with the settings on my laptop which is a HP

Any suggestions please.

PS. Keep it simple, I'm an old technophobe.

Hi johngaryturley,

Thank you for participating in the Microsoft Community. My name is Sid, a Microsoft user like you and an Independent Advisor. I'll be glad to help you with your concern.

Is this only happening when printing emails? What about when printing documents, say Word Documents or test file using notepad?

This might be an issue with the printer settings, driver or even with the laptop itself.

So, I suggest updating your printer driver and restarting your computer once it's done and try again to see if that takes care of the issue. To update the printer's driver, please check the link below. The screenshot shows driver of the battery. in your case, you'll need to select the Print queues. Expand it and select your printer then right click and press Update Driver. Just select Automatic then reboot your machine.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Sid
