Hello all, I've had my computer for almost 3 years now and never had a issue until recently for the past week, I suddenly have been getting this BSOD error and I haven't been able to fix it myself. I have ran different programs and test but no one has been able to help me.

My computer runs fine after a fresh install, but after I update windows or anything else, I end up getting BSOD.

Safe mode always works fine on the other hand.

Current Specs are

Windows 10 Home

Mobo - Asus Z170-A

CPU - i7 6700k @4.0ghz

Gtx1070 (currently not installed on this reset)

Here are the two minidumps from my current windows reinstall and a picture of memtest86+ as well as my chkdsk /f.

Thanks. We just can do some tests until we find a root cause in a hardware issue.

    Please run IPDT test:

Also, run memtest 86+ for 8 passes, 4 aren't enough.

    Technical Information:

Error : Internal timer (Proc 4 Bank 4)
      Status : 0xbe00000000800400
      Address : 0x00007ffede7571db

    Hi,

I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor and a 3 year Windows Insider MVP here to help.

No real help in the Minidump files - likely the processor has an issue.

What troubleshooting steps you have applied?

    Are you overclocking your device?

My machine was overclocked for a while but this is the first time i’ve had this issue, is it possible my processor is just dying all of a sudden?

edit; I have reinstalled windows about 6 times, I have reset my bios to default incase it was a overclocking issue, that’s about it in changing any type of settings.

What OS build are you on?  Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.

    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK
