Is this in places other than Outlook?
Mouse Problem - Operations occuring without clicking
As I move my cursor to some position on the screen using my mouse an action will be executed without ever clicking. As an example if i am in outlook and the cursor is on the trash icon, the current highlighted message will be deleted without ever clicking the mouse button. I tried a different mouse and the problem still exists. An additional really strange part of the problem that the problem gets worse and worse the longer I am on the computer. I also tried switching which button is the primary button (right or left). This did not help. Operations that require double clicks are not executed.

2020-04-12T02:37:04+00:00 Hi BSturm531,
Thank you for participating in the Microsoft Community. My name is Sid, a Microsoft user like you and an Independent Advisor. I am sorry to hear that your mouse is acting weird by doing activity without clicking on it. I'll be glad to help you with your concern.
Were there changes made on the computer prior to having this issue?
Please check Windows Updates if there are pending updates for the pointing devices driver.
It's also possible that the mouse driver needs to be updated. So, you may go to Device Manager and update or uninstall the current driver.
Right click on Start button then select Device Manager. On Device Manager window, expand the mice and other pointing devices. Right click on the driver then select Update Driver. You may also try to uninstall it. Reboot the machine and see if that makes any difference.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Sid
