Support for multiple language variants in the same workspace?

Hi,

I'm in the process of setting up projects and training engines in a Custom Translator workspace. I want to create all the projects using the same metadata so that they will all share the same Category ID (so they can all be called from the same TMS workflow).

However, it won't let me set up projects that share the same language pair from the drop-down, even if the project names are different (e.g. Project_fr-fr, Project_fr-ca).
This seems to be because, for example, the drop-down only has English>French, while I have projects with fr-fr and fr-ca as target - so would need English>French (France) and English>French (Canada), etc. available in the drop down.

Any workaround suggestions welcome.

Thanks, Colin

@Colin Bell Yes, there is only one language pair for English to French. So, if this pair is selected for one project another project with the same category and pair needs to have a different label to differentiate the category. This may not be ideal in your case if you are building your project for the same purpose or a customer.

You can however try to create projects with English-French in different workspaces with same category or labels and then use the corresponding category ids as parameters when you call the API because a CategoryID is created by concatenating the WorkspaceID, project label, and category code. I hope this helps as a workaround.
