Windows update fail and the error message is 0x800f0922

Hi,

I have one sever with Windows 2019 and doing the Windows Update but fail in 95% after restart and the error message 0x800f0922.

I tried to download the offline installer (kb5001568) from Microsoft Update Catalog but still fail in 95% after restart and have same message 0x800f0922.

Do you have any suggest to solve the issue?

Windows Update error 0x800F0922 can occur due to one of the following reasons:

App Readiness service is disabled.
Performance counters are damaged.
The System Reserved partition’s free space is less than 15 MB.

Thanks so much for this answer!!! I tried EVERYTHING else I could find on error code 0x800f0922. It would get to 98% done installing before undoing changes. VERY frustrating. Thx for the answer. It would be AMAZING if we could narrow down the list of potential fixes for things like this if there was a place that told us what each % change meant in terms of specific troubleshooting instead of giving such a broad error code like this...
