    Hi DaveM121,

Thanks for you help.  Both computers have Windows 10 Pro.  When I type open "Remote Desktop Connection" in the search box on my local computer I get a box which appears to want a web address because of the ".com" on the end of "example" message.

    example: computer.fabrikam.com

When I type in the box the computer name I am trying to remotely access I get a message box saying "Remote Desktop Connection can not find the computer".  I am sure I have the correct computer name that I am trying to access.  Both computers have Remote Desktop Connection enabled.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi gator6850

What version of Windows 10 is installed on those PC's, to initiate a Remote Desktop session, the PC initiating that session must have Windows 10 pro installed

Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu) go to System - About, there you will see what version of Windows 10 is installed

If you have Windows 10 Pro, the steps can b found here:

If you do not have Windows 10 Pro installed, you can use a tool like the Free version of TeamViewer to remotely connect to the other PC
