How do I get the code from someone for quick assist?  I know how to get there, but I'm not getting a code.  Also, how do I make sure they are a legit person and not a scammer?

I understand. May I ask how did you manage to get a hold of the technician who will assist you? Did you contact him or is he the one who contacted you? If you contacted him, may I know on which number did you call him? We just want to make sure that you will be getting in touch with a legit Microsoft technician.

My computer is only about 1.5 months old and is telling me i need to perform a system restoration to resolve irreparable issues.

I can't imagine why that would already be necessary so i wanted someone to check.

    Hi,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about the quick assist code.

The quick assist code will be generated and provided to you by the person who will remote access your Windows 10 computer. It is up to him on how he will provide it to you (email, SMS, messenger app, etc.)

There's no telling if the person who will remote access your computer is legit or a scammer so we need to be careful who will we give access to our computers. May I know why do you need to provide remote access to someone? Did someone called you about an issue on your computer or you requested someone to help you resolve an issue?

If you need further assistance please do reply back and I will respond as quickly as possible. Have a nice day.

    Thanks,

    Wilfred P.
