    Hello John,

What is the make and model of your device?

    Dell Inspiron 14 3000

When was the last time it's working properly?

    Earlier today

What is your current Windows version and edition? Press Start then search Settings, select System then About.

    Edition Windows 10 home

    Version 1909

Run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter

Press Start then search command prompt

Right click then run as administrator

    type: msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

    Run the troubleshooter

    Restart your PC

    Restart the Bluetooth Support Service.

    Press WIN+R

    type: services.msc

    Find "Bluetooth support service"

    Right click then Restart

Right click then properties. check if the startup type set to Automatic

Update Bluetooth driver via Device Manager

    WIN+X then Select Device Manager

right-click the device, and then click “Update Driver” to search for a new driver.

Click "Update Driver" in "Device Manager."

Click “Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software” if you want to search for a driver automatically.

If you downloaded the driver from the manufacturer’s website (and it doesn’t include an automatic installer), click “Browse My Computer for Driver Software” and follow the onscreen instructions.

I am still having the same problem. Any other idea?

    Hi ivansessa,

I have the same intermittent problem. From time to time, my Bluetooth ceases to work. Usually that happens when my notebook resumes from sleep. Nevertheless, it may happen during normal operational,  albeit quite rarely.

I can not say what is the proper fix to avoid the problem or workaround to make Bluetooth resume operation. Every time is different. Even turning off the system is not a guarantee to resume it.

My system is a Samsung notebook and the Bluetooth chip is Intel. The only thing in common is the Windows version. Mine is Windows 10 Pro v1909, 18363.900.

I really would like to know a way to end this problem.

    Hello ivansessa,

Glad to hear that you resolved the issue. Just make sure to turn on System Restore so that you can always revert back on an earlier date which everything was working properly. Stay Safe and Have a nice day!

    Sincerely
