'The requested device registry key does not exist' when I install WLAN driver in device manager

Hi there, I hope you are all well.

I recently installed windows 7 on my old laptop (Lenovo G560). When I tried to install the WLAN driver (Broadcom 802.11n) in device manager it gives me this error message: 'the requested device registry key does not exist'. Also, I am confident that this is the correct driver as I did get it from the lenovo website in the G560 section (please do correct me if I am wrong). Sometimes, the driver installs with another error: The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.

Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Stay safe!

No worries. Reinstalling windows fixed the problem. I think I messed up the registry.
